Pizzamaatjes

Pizzamaatjes (Dutch for ‘Pizza buddies’) approached me to create an identity for their new on-the-road pizza service.

The brief

Create a brand for a new on-the-road pizza business that reflects the owners approachable personality, as well as the high quality, handcrafted food.

What mattered

The audience consists of people hosting an event, looking for artisanal catering to not just feed, but offer an experience.

The idea

Combine woodoven, wheels and pizza in one visual device, with custom lettering that carries an artisanal and approachable character.

My part

I developed the identity and applied it to the website, serving paper, napkins, business cards and more.

What followed

Pizzamaatjes was launched as a professional brand from the get-go.

I developed the visual identity and guided the founders through the decisions needed to establish their brand.

Early Pizzamaatjes logo sketch and concept development

Custom lettering brings an artisanal feel to the identity. A visual device combines a wood-fired oven, wheels and pizza to tell the story of a pizza business on the road.

I applied the identity to a landing page, napkins, serving paper, business cards and apparel, giving the business a connected set of materials for launch.
